TORONTO, Ontario, Canada – December 18, 2018 – AudienceView is pleased to announce that it has gained incredible traction in the market after its acquisition of OvationTix in July 2017. In the first year alone, the company welcomed almost 100 new clients to OvationTix. In the third calendar quarter of 2018, approximately two dozen additional organizations chose OvationTix. As a result, new OvationTix customer revenue doubled in the first half of 2018 compared to the second half of 2017. It then doubled again in Q3 compared to the first half of 2018.
“We are thrilled with the leadership OvationTix brings to the marketplace and the trust that so many organizations continue to place in our solution,” said Mike Evenson, VP of Strategy, AudienceView. “OvationTix is helping more than 1,500 organizations – across performing arts and athletics to exhibitions and attractions – achieve their business goals. Our entire team looks forward to continuing the momentum with our product portfolio so we can continue to offer the industry’s most comprehensive solutions.”
Arts & Culture Growth
Now serving over 1,200 arts and culture clients on OvationTix, AudienceView is delighted to be working with new organizations including Third Rail Projects, an award-winning creator of immersive theatre experiences that transitioned to OvationTix in under two weeks. As a relatively new user, the dance and theatre company is already saving an average of five hours per week due to streamlined internal processes.
Additionally, Third Rail Projects achieved a 19% year-over-year increase in ticket sales for its 2018 extension of Then She Fell with the help of the OvationTix platform.
“OvationTix makes it extremely easy to sell tickets and manage our customer relationships,” said Joshua Dutton-Reaver, Manager of Marketing & Communications for Third Rail Projects. “We are delighted with the support we’ve received from the OvationTix team so far and look forward to continued success with the platform.”
Other new OvationTix arts and culture clients include The Kaye Playhouse at Hunter College, which hosts over 200 live shows from global artists annually in New York City, as well as Shakespeare & Company and Wood Theater.
AudienceView is also excited to be continuing its partnership with Downton Abbey: The Exhibition, which is based on the beloved hit television show and takes visitors through an immersive experience that brings the characters and iconic house to life. After a successful run using OvationTix in New York City, the exhibition also committed to OvationTix for its second US tour stop in West Palm Beach, Florida, which opened in mid-November. OvationTix was originally selected for the exhibition when the tour commenced in New York City because of the solution’s versatility.
“OvationTix makes it possible for us to provide an easy and seamless experience throughout the customer journey,” said Laurie B. Squire, Director of Ticket Sales for Imagine Exhibitions, Inc., the touring partner of Downton Abbey: The Exhibition. “We are delighted to continue our use of the solution to better understand who our guests are and what marketing efforts are increasing conversions and driving ticket sales.”
Expanding Into College Athletics
Over the past year, OvationTix has leveraged the versatility of its solution to expand beyond arts and culture and provide ticketing, fundraising CRM and marketing capabilities for college athletics.
Pepperdine Athletics selected OvationTix after an industry-wide search for a solution to help the department grow revenues and align team members. The department now uses OvationTix to support ticketing and fan engagement for several sports, including its NCAA Division I men’s basketball team.
“We were searching for a tool that fit our needs as a department to grow revenue and put our entire team on the same page, including our ticket office, our outbound sales staff and our marketing team,” said Karina Herold, Senior Associate Director of Athletics/Senior Woman Administrator for Pepperdine University. “We found that very tool in OvationTix.”
The Citadel, a military college in South Carolina with over 3,000 students, is using OvationTix to provide ticketing for its athletics programs and enhance the overall fan experience. With a 360-degree view of its supporters, Citadel Athletics is creating deeper relationships while introducing efficiencies including online season ticket renewals and streamlined fundraising processes.
“OvationTix was launched quickly and has a solid, well-performing team behind it – from customer success to client services – and they have been with us every step of the way,” said Michael Keeney, Associate Athletic Director for Budget & Finance and External Operations for Citadel Athletics. “The solution is extremely user friendly and intuitive. We can get volunteers and student workers trained and selling tickets within the hour.”
